Cartoons

What if you were told about “Tom and Jerry” coming alive on your screens?
What if you were told about “Chhota Bheem” making his way from our hearts straight to this amazing part of our lives – Internet?
What if you were told the stories of “Cartoon Network” and not “CN TV”?
What if “Scooby-Dooby-Doo”, “Powerpuff girls”, “Dexter’s Laboratory”, “Richie Rich” and all those which children of 90’s will definitely know comes to take you to a wonderful journey?
What if Cartoons come alive?
Well!
That sounds interesting.

There are many things that make a person’s childhood special to him or her, but our generation has got something extra in this context. Yes, we are talking about the wonderful cartoons we watched during the era of Cartoon Network, not it’s pathetic new avatar CN TV, the cartoons we watched on Pogo, Hungama TV. The cartoon shows being showed these days don’t have that type of innocent naughtiness that cartons from 90s had.
Let’s remember our favorite cartoons from that golden era of childhood:-

(1) Tom & Jerry

Who can forget the spicy WAR between the two lovely creatures? Who can forget how “Tom” devised every possible plan only to ensure “Jerry’s” defeat? Who can forget the invincible “Tom and Jerry’?
Perhaps No one!
It was one of its kinds a show that told us that true friendship is in teasing and annoying each other. We were and are madly in love with this wonderful cartoon.
 (2) The Flintstones
Ah! That enchanting world where everything was made of stones, even cars. A family living in Stone Age and their wonderful everyday activities was just amazing.
The show was set in the Stone Age town of Bedrock. In the fantasy version of the past, dinosaurs and other long-extinct animals co-existed with cavemen, saber-toothed cats, and woolly mammoths. Like their mid-twentieth century counterparts, these cavemen listened to records, lived in split-level homes, and ate out at restaurants, yet their technology was made entirely from pre-industrial materials and largely powered through the use of animals. For example, the cars were made out of stones, wood and animal skins, and powered by the passengers' feet.
Just amazing!

(3) Scooby-Doo
Well!
There’s really not much to say about it, but just three words, “Scooby Dooby Doooo……”

Every episode of Scooby-Doo contained a penultimate scene in which the kids unmasked the ghost-of-the-week to reveal a real person in a costume.

The episodes were truly the most wanted ones. The eerie ambience, the spine-chilling music, and the amazing character sketches especially our dear Scooby made the evenings special

(4) The powerpuff girls

Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercups were able to do just anything with their superpowers. ANYTHING!
The first three girls we all fell in love with.

The show revolved around the adventures of three girls with superpowers: Blossom (who is pink), Bubbles (blue), and Buttercup (green). The plot of an episode was usually some humorous variation of standard superhero shows, with the girls using their powers to defend their town from villains and giant monsters. In addition, the girls had to deal with the normal issues that young children face, such as sibling rivalries, loose teeth, personal hygiene, going to school, bed wetting, or dependence on a security blanket

(5) Johnny Bravo
What a confident man he was!
The series revolved on Johnny Bravo, a muscular, boorish, and dimwitted womanizer with a pompadour hairstyle and a stubborn voice. Episodes typically revolved around him trying to get a woman to go on a date with him, though his advances were usually rejected. Johnny's companions were Bunny "Momma" Bravo (Brenda Vaccaro), his lively, extroverted mother; Little Suzy (Mae Whitman), a talkative and intelligent little girl from the neighborhood who had a crush on Johnny; Carl Chryniszzswics (Tom Kenny), an eccentric and timid nerd who idolized Johnny despite being bullied by him; and Pops (Larry Drake), the greedy owner of the local diner who provided advice to Johnny.

(6) Dexter’s Laboratory
That young scientist. Just “Wow!” We did truly love him and his hilarious experiments.
The series revolved around a boy-genius who possessed a secret laboratory hidden behind a bookcase in his bedroom. The laboratory was filled with Dexter's inventions and access was achieved by speaking various passwords or by activating hidden switches on Dexter's bookshelf (e.g. pulling out a specific book). Though highly intelligent, Dexter often failed at what he had set out to do when he became overexcited and made careless choices.
Dexter managed to keep the lab a secret from his clueless, cheerful Mom and Dad, who never took notice of it. However, he was frequently in conflict with his hyperactive older sister, Dee Dee. In spite of Dexter's advanced technology, Dee Dee eluded all manner of security, and once inside her brother's laboratory, she would take delight in playing haphazardly, often wreaking havoc with his inventions.
.
(7) Tweety from Looney tunes

The innocence and cuteness in Tweety was really mesmerizing. And, yes the nanny was superb too.
The name "Tweety" is a play on words, as it originally meant "sweetie", along with "tweet" being a typical English onomatopoeia for the sounds of birds.
We really miss that sweet yellow bird with unfaltering cute looks and soothing high pitched voice.

(8) Courage- The Cowardly Dog

That abandoned home and those frightening sounds surely shook us to terror. Our evenings became a bit haunted ones. All thanks to this amazing cartoon.
Courage the Cowardly Dog follows Courage, an easily frightened, pink beagle dog. He was abandoned as a puppy after his parents were forcibly sent into outer space. He lives in a farmhouse near the fictional town of Nowhere, Kansas with Muriel Bagge, a sweet-natured Scottish woman, and her husband Eustace, a grouchy, selfish, greedy farmer who constantly harasses Courage. Courage was found in an alleyway by Muriel, who took him up as her own.
Courage, Muriel and Eustace frequently run into monsters, aliens, demons, mad scientists, zombies and other supernatural perils from myths and legends that Courage must fend off to save his owners, unbeknownst to them. Although most of the creatures that the three face are frightening or disturbing, some turn out to be sweet and simply in distress. The plot generally uses horror conventions, common to horror films. Ironically, given his name, Courage is a genuine coward, but still goes to great lengths to protect his owners.
Although episodic in nature, there are a handful of recurring characters in the show's cast, including Courage's sarcastic, sentient computer, the family physician Dr. Vindaloo, the Gypsy fortune-telling chihuahua Shirley the Medium, Eustace's mother "Ma", and recurring villains such as Katz and Le Quack.

(9) Richie-Rich
Make way!
The rich guy comes here.
The adventures of this RICH little boy are still so fresh in our memories. Those amazing journeys and the grandeur locations coupled with thrill and excitement.
AMAZING!

(10) Ben 10

So here comes the cartoon which everyone has watched. Who hasn’t heard the name “Ben 10”? No one indeed. At least the cartoon freaks!

Ben Tennyson, a 10-year-old boy, discovers a magical device that can turn him into 10 different alien heroes, each with its own unique abilities. With this newfound power, Ben, Grandpa Max and cousin Gwen help others and stop evildoers - but that doesn't mean he doesn't cause some super powered kid mischief once and a while.
His adventures are just                                                                                              amazing!

(11) Make way for Noddy

This cartoon was just amazing. Oh! It brings back a lot of memories when afternoons were spent in front of the television sets with the tag of “Pogo” and those adventures. Just amazing!

Noddy was the primary or the main protagonist, a wooden boy who lived in Toyland. Although he was characterized as a child, with a child's imagination and fears, in Toyland he also served as the main taxi driver. He often found himself in difficult situations due to his childlike impulsiveness and energy, but his Toy Town friends always helped him set things right and saved Toy Town from the Goblins.
Nostalgia indeed.

(12) Oswald

This.
Yes this cute blue octopus was the best thing that happened to cartoons. His admirable cute looks, amazing voice and his kind nature had us fall for him.
 A missed fellow indeed!

The series was set in a colorful world populated by a cast of anthropomorphic animals, mythological creatures, and humanoid beings. Each episode followed the daily experiences of an anthropomorphic blue octopus named Oswald accompanied by his beloved pet dachshund (named Weenie, and their life in the cheerful and whimsically-designed community of Big City. Commonly, the program concentrated on Oswald's experiences with friends, acquaintances, and neighbors—including Henry, a talking penguin and Daisy, a humanoid, anthropomorphic daisy, among others—and his patient methods of coping with or tolerating different situations and dilemmas, along with his thoroughly optimistic outlook on life.

(13) Mr. Bean

Oh, this poor thing!
The most entertaining cartoon indeed.
Enough said.

Mr. Bean - the title character who serves as the main protagonist of the series. He is mischievous and makes numerous disasters and always encounters problems in a roundabout way. He is shown to be both immature yet surprisingly resourceful when he needs to be. He wants every environment around him to be clean and out of trouble.
Teddy is Mr.  Bean's lifelong best friend. As a stuffed companion –a bear, Mr. Bean assumes Teddy is alive.
Dose of entertainment completed.

(14) Bob the builder

Do you have anything in your homes to be fixed?
Did the water pipe just leak?
Or the floor needs repairing?
Bob the builder will surely come to the rescue!
Bob appears as a building contractor specializing in masonry in a stop motion animated programme with his colleague Wendy, various neighbours and friends, and their gang of anthropomorphised work-vehicles and equipment (all made of clay). The show is broadcast in many countries, but originates from the United Kingdom where Bob is voiced by English actor Neil Morrissey. The show was later created using CGI animation starting with the spin-off series Ready, Steady, Build!.
In each episode, Bob and his group help with renovations, construction, and repairs and with other projects as needed.

(15) Mickey Mouse
Yaay!
One of the first cartoons ever made.
Donald Duck, Minnie, Goofie,…
Phew!
Much more to name.
Mickey generally appears alongside his girlfriend Minnie Mouse, his pet dog Pluto, his friends Donald Duck, and Goofy. His adventures are just amazing.

Just Wow!
Missing them.

The present day cartoons are fun too, filled with excitement and unfaltering innocence.

(1) Oggy and the cockroaches
Ask any kid out there, “What’s your favourite cartoon?”
The answer would definitely be “Oggy..”
Well!

The show centers on Oggy, a blue cat, who would prefer to spend his days contentedly watching television and eating - if not for the three roaches in the household:Joey, Dee Dee and Marky (named after members of the punk group Ramones). The trio seems to enjoy making Oggy's life miserable, which involves mischief ranging from (in most cases) plundering his refrigerator to such awkward things like hijacking the train Oggy just boarded. Oggy usually finds creatures accompanying him to the end of the episode, such as crabs, clams, a horse, a very technologically advanced child, a puppy, and an octopus. However, it's not always Oggy who wins.

(2) Chhota Bheem
Do you fantasize being as strong as “Bheem” and defeat all evil doers of the society?
 Yes?
Then you are sure a die-hard Bheem fan.
Everyone is!
The extremely strong Chhota Bheem lives in a fictional town called Dholakpur set in rural India. (3) Doraemon
Ah! The name.
Perhaps every generation knows the cute Robot and the lazy Nobita.

Doraemon is sent back in time by a young boy named Sewashi Nobi to improve the circumstances of his grandfather, Nobita, so that his descendants may enjoy a better future. In the original timeline, Nobita experienced nothing but misery and misfortune manifested in the form of very poor grades and bullying throughout his life. This culminates in the burning down of a future business he sets up which leaves his family line beset with financial problems. In order to alter history and better the Nobi family's fortunes, Sewashi initially wanted to send a super-robot to protect Nobita, but with his meager allowance he could only afford an imperfectly-made factory-rejected toy: an anthropomorphic robot cat called Doraemon.
Doraemon has a pocket from which he produces toys, medicines, and tools from the future, all of which are referred to as 'gadgets' by Doraemon. Some of the gadgets are based on real Japanese household devices with fanciful twists, but most are completely science fiction. Thousands of gadgets have been featured in the series with such as the "bamboo-copter", a small head accessory that allows flight and the "Anywhere Door", a door that opens up to any place the user wishes.
Nobita's closest friend is Shizuka Minamoto, who also serves as his romantic interest. Nobita is usually tormented by the bully Takeshi Goda, nicknamed "Gian", and the cunning and arrogant Suneo Honekawa. A typical story consists of Doraemon using one of his gadgets in order to assist Nobita in various ways, often causing more trouble than he was trying to solve.

(4) Shinchan

This is yet another cute 5 year old boy who never grows up. His mischievous acts are a delight to the eyes indeed. The hilarious jokes and extraordinary mind pleasing episodes are a must watch. Many of the jokes in the series stem from Shin-chan's occasionally weird, unnatural, as well as from his mischievous behavior.
